In brief
You can delete your account and all related data at any time. This right is guaranteed under Article 14 of Federal Law No. 152-FZ. Deletion happens on request — either from inside your dashboard or by writing to info@etochat.bot.
1. What gets deleted
- The User's account (email, full name, profile settings).
- Connected bots and their tokens / API keys.
- All conversations and messages tied to the User's bots.
- End-customer contacts, tags, notes, templates.
- Files and media uploaded through the service.
- API tokens, webhooks, integration settings.
2. What we have to keep (exceptions)
The Operator is required to retain some data under Russian law, even after the User's account is deleted:
- Payment documents and primary accounting records — 5 years (Article 29 of the Federal Law "On Accounting"; clause 317 of the Standard Archival Records List, approved by Rosarkhiv Order No. 236).
- Personal data processing consents and their withdrawals — 5 years from withdrawal (to confirm the lawfulness of processing).
- Data subject to retention under a lawful request from government authorities — until the relevant investigation or proceedings end.
This data is kept in a limited scope and solely to comply with the law. It is not used for any other purpose.
3. How to request deletion
3.1. From the dashboard (recommended)
- Sign in to your dashboard at /panel.
- Open the "Profile" section (/panel/profile).
- Click "Delete account" and confirm by re-entering your password.
- You'll get a confirmation email; within 30 calendar days you can cancel the deletion by replying to that email.
3.2. Written email request
- Write to info@etochat.bot with "Data deletion" in the subject line, from the email address tied to the account.
- Include your full name (for verification) and the account email.
- We'll start the deletion process within 5 business days and send you a confirmation.
3.3. Deletion after access to an external channel is revoked
If you revoke permissions on the side of the external channel the connection runs through, and that channel sends us the corresponding signal, we will delete the data tied to your account within 30 calendar days.
You can also write directly to info@etochat.bot with the ETOCHATBOT account email and the type of connection that needs to be wiped.
4. Timelines
- 30 calendar days — soft delete: the account is deactivated, access is blocked, but the data is still recoverable. This window gives you time to change your mind.
- Up to 15 business days after soft delete — hard delete: the data is removed from the production database and related storage.
- Up to 30 calendar days — backup rotation, after which the deleted data also disappears from backups.
5. Deletion requests from end customers
If you're an end customer who wrote to one of the bots on ETOCHATBOT and you want us to delete your conversation:
- First contact the bot's owner — they are the operator of your personal data (see the DPA). The owner's details are usually in the bot's description or on their website.
- If you can't reach the owner, write to us at info@etochat.bot with "Data deletion — end customer" in the subject line and include the bot name, your username, and the date of your last message.
- We'll notify the bot's owner within a reasonable timeframe and help with deleting your data.
